Neymar Jnr insists leaving Barcelona for Paris St Germain will not be the end of his football career after scoring a goal at his debut game. The Brazil international made an impact in his first game since completing a world-record 222million euro (£200.6million) move with a goal and an assist as PSG cruised to a 3-0 win at Guingamp. Critics argued that leaving Barcelona for Ligue 1 is a set back, but the 25-year-old is happy to prove them wrong and his content at the moment. “I knew it would be very difficult to leave Barca but I am very happy to be here,” he said in quotes reported by L’equipe, “People think that you die after leaving Barca, but no, it’s the opposite. Football pundit, Gary Neville slams Chelsea and it's captain John Terry for announcing his plans to leave now, claiming the decision is a distraction for the title-racing squad.

News of Terry's sudden exit from Stamford Bridge comes at a very odd moment - just 24 hours after Chelsea were beaten 2-0 at Manchester United, a result which opens up the Premier League title race for their rivals.

Terry's countryman and former England team-mate, Gary Neville grilled the timing of the announcement and reckons the 36-year-old still has a part to play this season.

“The news of Terry leaving is incredibly strange timing, I don't get it at all,” Neville told Sky Sports' Monday Night Football.

“I'm not really sure who it suits, maybe John Terry a little bit, but I'm not even sure about that.

“It may be a distraction for the dressing room, the club and the fans will be sad today especially after the big game they lost yesterday. Maybe he’s signed a pre-agreement with somebody and they couldn't keep it quiet any longer.”

“They haven't kept a clean sheet for quite a bit now and I think he could be quite useful for them.

“If they needed someone with experience in this last month to get them over the line, he might be the man they need to call on.

“He's got the experience, the resilience, the robustness and that toughness which would get his team-mates over line. He may be Chelsea’s most important player in the next few weeks.”

Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley opened up that his naivety made him make some "unacceptable" decisions when he first took over the club.  In an exclusive interview with  Sky Sports , which will be aired on Sunday evening’s ‘Mike Ashley: Speaks Direct’ special on Sky Sports Premier League at 7pm, the 52-year-old directly disclosed all, following the marking of his 10 years at St James’ Park. Antoine Griezmann to consider Man Utd offer after U-turn

Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann is reportedly still considering an offer to join Manchester United this summer. The offer has been connected with a move to Old Trafford since the beginning of the summer and a possible twist at Atletico could provoke him to leave for the Premier League. A report in  Don Balon  claims the Frenchman would be willing to join United if Atletico decided to sell goalkeeper Jan Oblak to PSG.
