Neymar Jnr insists leaving Barcelona for Paris St Germain will not be the end of his football career after scoring a goal at his debut game. The Brazil international made an impact in his first game since completing a world-record 222million euro (£200.6million) move with a goal and an assist as PSG cruised to a 3-0 win at Guingamp. Critics argued that leaving Barcelona for Ligue 1 is a set back, but the 25-year-old is happy to prove them wrong and his content at the moment. “I knew it would be very difficult to leave Barca but I am very happy to be here,” he said in quotes reported by L’equipe, “People think that you die after leaving Barca, but no, it’s the opposite. Vardy: We Knew It Was Going To Be Hard, We Gave Our All

Leicester City Jamie Vardy said he and his teammates gave everything they had to make sure to extend the club's Champions League campaign on Tuesday night. 
The striker scored as City drew 1-1 with Atletico Madrid in their quarter-final second leg match at the King Power Stadium – but were knocked out on aggregate after Antoine Griezmann’s penalty spaced apart the teams in the Spanish capital last week.

Vardy told BT Sport afterwards: “We’ve given our all, especially in the second half. They made a few blocks on the line which on another day would’ve gone in.
“We were definitely in the ascendancy, you could see the way we were playing. We brought Leo (Leonardo Ulloa) on to cause an aerial threat and it started paying dividends for us.
“They (Atletico) are probably used to playing teams who keep possession more, so we were going direct.
“It was just unfortunate we didn’t get the result we wanted. It wasn’t to be but at least everyone gave it their all. The lads can be proud of themselves, they’ve given everything.”
On Leicester’s Champions League campaign, Vardy added: “We knew it was going to be hard. Every game has been the same up to now. We had to concentrate on what we do best.
“The Champions League was a new experience for most of us, we definitely enjoyed it. Now we’ve got some unfinished business to stay in the Premier League.
The Foxes boss Craig Shakespeare told BT Sport: “In the first half we played really well but the goal changes the game plan – we knew we had to score three – so I had to make the change.
“There’s no discredit to lose to a team of that calibre.
“In terms of effort, commitment, application – as a group we were tremendous.

“The momentum was with us when Jamie scored but it just wasn’t to be.
“I think the whole club, the supporters, owners and players, can be immensely proud of what they’ve achieved.
“I’ve just said to the players ‘you should want more of this’…they’ve agreed to a man that’s what they want.”

Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley opened up that his naivety made him make some "unacceptable" decisions when he first took over the club.  In an exclusive interview with  Sky Sports , which will be aired on Sunday evening’s ‘Mike Ashley: Speaks Direct’ special on Sky Sports Premier League at 7pm, the 52-year-old directly disclosed all, following the marking of his 10 years at St James’ Park. Antoine Griezmann to consider Man Utd offer after U-turn

Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann is reportedly still considering an offer to join Manchester United this summer. The offer has been connected with a move to Old Trafford since the beginning of the summer and a possible twist at Atletico could provoke him to leave for the Premier League. A report in  Don Balon  claims the Frenchman would be willing to join United if Atletico decided to sell goalkeeper Jan Oblak to PSG.
