Neymar Jnr insists leaving Barcelona for Paris St Germain will not be the end of his football career after scoring a goal at his debut game. The Brazil international made an impact in his first game since completing a world-record 222million euro (£200.6million) move with a goal and an assist as PSG cruised to a 3-0 win at Guingamp. Critics argued that leaving Barcelona for Ligue 1 is a set back, but the 25-year-old is happy to prove them wrong and his content at the moment. “I knew it would be very difficult to leave Barca but I am very happy to be here,” he said in quotes reported by L’equipe, “People think that you die after leaving Barca, but no, it’s the opposite. Liverpool to begin striker talks after beating rivals to £50m ace - report

Liverpool looks ready to swoop a march on their rivals by starting talks with representatives of Lyon striker, Alexandre Lacazette next week.
The Frenchman is probable to arrive at Atletico Madrid this summer, but the Spanish team is banned from buying any player until January after losing their appeal to UEFA for signing under-age players.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have been a long-time admirer of the 26-year-old, who has scored 37 goals in all competitions for Lyon last season, but they are now believed to have turned their concentration to Monaco’s frontman Kylian Mbappe, while Manchester United are also said to be in line.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has formulate the signing of a top class central striker high on his list of priorities this summer and believes that Lacazette, who has won 11 caps for France, fits the spot.
However, Lyon are still hoping of keeping the player, with chairman Jean-Michel Aulas recently saying: “We will have to meet with Alex again.
“We will have to see what will happen in the future, but today the decision to let Alexandre go is now under scrutiny.
“I would prefer that he stays. In the context of our competitiveness and our desire to build a truly great team for next season.
“Lyon has a lot of very good players and if Alexandre does not leave it will be another player in very similar conditions.”

Lacazette, however, wants something that Liverpool can offer him in Champions League football and the report in the Sunday Express claims that talks will get underway next week.
