Neymar Jnr insists leaving Barcelona for Paris St Germain will not be the end of his football career after scoring a goal at his debut game. The Brazil international made an impact in his first game since completing a world-record 222million euro (£200.6million) move with a goal and an assist as PSG cruised to a 3-0 win at Guingamp. Critics argued that leaving Barcelona for Ligue 1 is a set back, but the 25-year-old is happy to prove them wrong and his content at the moment. “I knew it would be very difficult to leave Barca but I am very happy to be here,” he said in quotes reported by L’equipe, “People think that you die after leaving Barca, but no, it’s the opposite. I’m more alive than ever, I play, I’m very happy. The country, the city and the team change, but football is the same.” After Jordan Ikoko’s own goal gave PSG a 52nd-minute lead, Neymar brilliantly set up Edinson Cavani to make it 2-0 before opening his account for the club with a simple close-range finish with eight min...

United Morata's deal 'done' after striker forces through transfer

Alvaro Morata’s move to Manchester United “has been done” after the forward told friends his mind is made up to join the Red Devils, according to reports.

The Real Madrid striker, who recently got married in Venice, seem to have cut his honeymoon short this week to have conversations with Real president Florentino Perez.

And now, the Daily Express reports “those talks have helped to speed up negotiations between the two clubs” with Real set to accept a figure of around £60million for the 24-year-old rather than the £70million they were holding out for.

Morata is hoping that a regular first-team football will help him reassert himself as Spain’s No.9 at the World Cup next summer.

The report also claims Jose Mourinho has made it vividly clear he wants Morata to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic and he wants the forward to become United’s focal point after convincing the player he is “ideally suited for English football”.

Cadena Ser’s El Larguero show reported two week’s ago that an agreement between both clubs and the player was “very close”.

United were believed to have offered Morata a four or five-year contract to replace the departed Ibrahimovic, who was not offered a new deal after injuring his cruciate knee injury.
